Admission criteria for MSc. in Pharmacology
- In addition to the general Requirement laid down by the University postgraduate studies director, a candidate must have earned Bachelor of Pharmacy (B-Pharm), doctorate in medicine (MD), Doctor of pharmacy (Pharm-D), doctor of dental medicine (DDM), doctor of veterinary medicine (DVM), as well as BSc in pharmacology or toxicology from recognized University.
- Applicants must forward two letters of recommendation from their employers and academic supervisors. One of the references should be an academic referee. As the medium of instruction is English, applicants whose medium of instruction at secondary and/or higher education was not English would be required to produce a certificate of proficiency in English language. Candidates who pass the preliminary screening can be invited for an entrance examination.
- A candidate who satisfies the above admission requirement will be required to take and pass written and/or oral examination (≥ 50%).
- If many candidates pass the entrance exam to the extra of intake capacity of the department, first chance will be given for top achievers and individuals who are sponsored by the government.
- Candidates, who have not taken undergraduate courses in pharmacology, toxicology, physiology and biochemistry with the scope of the curriculum in B-Pharm or MD, will be required to take course (auditing course) and pass examinations in these courses before being allowed to take specialty courses.

Admission criteria for MSc. in Pharmaceutical supply Chain Management (PSCM)
The specific admission criteria for MSc in PSCM are:
Education Background
- Bachelor degree in Pharmacy or Veterinary Pharmacy from a recognized higher learning institution with Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 2.00.
- Bachelor degree in Medicine, Dental Medicine, Nursing, Midwifery, Medical Laboratory Technology, Public Health Officer, Health Informatics and Biomedical Engineering from a recognized higher learning institution with CGPA of at least 2.00. Candidates other than Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy will be provisionally admitted and shall take bridging courses.
Sponsorship
- The regular MSc in PSCM program is open for two categories of candidates: public-sponsored and private-sponsored.
- Public-sponsored applicants must provide evidence of sponsorship. Sponsorship may be from local public universities or other institutions.
- Private-sponsored (self or organization-sponsored) applicants must provide letter of commitment to cover all tuition fees by themselves or by a sponsoring organization.
Letter of Recommendation
- Applicants must provide two letters of recommendation from their previous institution or supervisors.
Entrance Examination
- Joint Department Graduate Committee (JDGC) shall screen candidates based on the above preliminary screening criteria stated from 1 to 8.3. Candidates who pass the preliminary screening are allowed to take entrance examination and should score at least 50% for admission. However, a score above 50% does not automatically guarantee enrollment which could be based on intake capacity. Pharmacists will be given priority in case of limited enrollment capacity.
- JDGC will set necessary requirements and lead entrance examination.
- Entrance examination will be 100% written examination
- Private-sponsored candidates are admitted in the regular program, if and only if public-sponsored candidates are below the intake capacity.
Bridging Courses
Candidates other than Bachelor degree in Pharmacy or Veterinary Pharmacy shall take the following bridging courses if they didn’t take at all or took in lower credit hour (ECTS) at undergraduate level. They are expected to take the bridging courses within 1 year of admission to the program.
